United Nations Deputy Secretary General’s Site Visit

UN Deputy Secretary-General and Borno State Governor during the visitation to the Newly constructed Adolescent Friendly Centre in Bama, Bama LGA, Borno State.

REPORT OF THE SITE VISIT BY THE DEPUTY SECRETARY GENERAL OF UNITED NATIONS TO BAMA LGA IN BORNO STATE BY ROYAL HERITAGE HEALTH FOUNDATION (RHHF).

RHHF is a social development NGO with national coverage.

UNITED NATIONS DEPUTY SECRETARY GENERAL’S SITE VISIT

Presently, RHHF is partnering with UNFPA to increase national capacity to provide Sexual and Reproductive Health(SRH) services in humanitarian settings in Borno State.

Recently, 80 School teachers and 80 Health Care workers were trained across Bama, Gwoza, and Kala/ Balge LGAs last quarter.

In addition, one Adolescent Friendly Center was built in the new camp in Bama.

On Monday afternoon of 8th January, 2018, we were back to the Center with 2 Health Workers and 2 School Teachers from our pool of Trained Health Workers and School Teachers in the LGAs as directed by DrMidala where 120 Adolescents were also mobilized for the special event.

The Adolescents were sensitized on Tuesday9th January, 2018. It also featured role play by the Adolescents in preparation for the visit.

THE ADOLESCENT FRIENDLY CENTRE AT BAMA LGA:

The Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations came along with the Borno State Governor to sight and witness the Adolescent Friendly Centre established in the Local Government.

The UN Representative try to come in to our centre but the protocol prevented her but part of her team came into the Friendly Centre to take photographs.
