RHHF is hereby seeking for applications from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant position on USAID/International Medical Corps (IMC) project in Maiduguri, Borno State.

JOB TITLE/POSITION: VWS (Volunteer Ward Supervisor)

LOCATION: Monguno LGA, Maiduguri, Borno State

POSITION TYPE: PROJECT-BASED

PROJECT TITLE: Core Group Partners Project (CGPP) 

DONOR/PARTNER: USAID/IMC

JOB SUMMARY:

Volunteer Ward Supervisor (VWS) for the Core Group Partners Project (CGPP), you will play a crucial role in the implementation of multiple projects, including the Polio Eradication Initiative Project, and Global Health Security Agenda Project (GHSA).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and support VCM in filling of VCM register.
  • Mentor VCM on accurate entry of information into the VCM register.
  • Guide VCMs to correct all errors in the register on a weekly basis.
  • Go through all the register of her/his VCMs at least once a week.
  • All data collation must be done directly from the VCM register and NEVER from any exercise book.
  • Complete the Supportive Supervisory Checklist for each supervision as planned.
  • Collate data from the registers of VCM she/he supervises into the tally/summary sheet ONCE in a month. 
  • Collate data from each register in the presence of the VCM who uses the register. Fill one tally/summary sheet for every register.
  • Enter data from the summary sheet into the smartphone and send it on the 6th day of the month. 
  • Handle and maintain the smartphones with care to avoid damage. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to speak Hausa and Kanuri language is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data verification and validation processes, preventing errors in reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying data-related instructions and reporting findings to team members and management.
  • Great Community engagement skills is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be educated, and relevant in his/her political ward.
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
  • Must be based in Monguno LGA, Maiduguri, Borno State.

JOB TITLE/POSITION: LGAC (Local Government Area Coordinator)

LOCATION: Monguno, Mafa, Goza and Mobbar LGAs, Borno State

POSITION TYPE: PROJECT-BASED

PROJECT TITLE: Core Group Partners Project (CGPP) 

DONOR/PARTNER: USAID/IMC

JOB SUMMARY:

Local Government Area Coordinator (LGAC) for the Core Group Partners Project (CGPP) plays a crucial role in the implementation of multiple projects, including the Polio Eradication Initiative Project, and Global Health Security Agenda Project (GHSA). 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, supervise, and oversee the entire data collection process at the LGA level.
  • Mentor the VWS and VCM on accurate entry of information into the VCM register.
  • Manage the flow of data from the VCM register to the point of upload into the cloud. The LGAC must be in touch with the ward and settlement level data collection, collation, and dissemination process.
  • The LGAC will randomly verify collated data in the Tally/Summary Sheet before data are entered into the smartphone. 
  • LGAC with the support of the MEAL Officer, provide VWS with photocopies of all the pages of Tally/Summary Sheets required by each VWS based on the number of VCM she/he supervises.
  • Provide  quality assurance to the data process by ensuring one Tally/Summary Sheet is completed for one VCM register. 
  • Provide Supportive Supervision to Volunteers on Field Implementation sites.
  • Weekly and monthly Reporting, Coordination of Data Review meeting at the LGA level.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must possess bachelor’s degree in public health, Health sciences, Behavioral sciences, Social sciences, Microbiology, or its recognized equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 1 years of practical experience in a similar Coordinating role with International, National NGOs or Health related sector, demonstrating a track record of successfully coordinating and managing data collection, verification, and reporting activities.
  • Must be based in Monguno, Mafa, Goza and Mobbar LGA, Maiduguri, Borno State.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to speak Hausa and Kanuri languages is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data verification and validation processes, preventing errors in reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address discrepancies or issues in data, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Analytical thinking skills to interpret data, recognize trends, and provide insights that support program improvement and decision-making processes.
  • Proven experience in providing training and mentorship to field-level on data collection methodologies and best practices, with evidence of their capacity-building impact.
