Monitoring of Corona Virus Vaccination (Phase II), Irepodun LGA, Kwara State

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact communities worldwide, several vaccines have been authorized for emergency use. Thus, the successful deployment of the COVID-19 vaccine is needed in eradicating the pandemic. In line with this, the Kwara State Ministry of Health in partnership with Royal Heritage Health Foundation (RHHF) engaged in nine days (9) monitoring and supervision of the Covid-19 vaccination process in Irepodun Local Government Area, Kwara State. Advocacy, monitoring, and sensitization as well as record-taking activities were conducted between 17th and 30th June 2021. A total of 1670 persons (918 males and 752 females) were discovered to have received the second dose of the vaccine in the LGA.

As we learn more about the new virus of concern, OMICRON, let us continue to protect ourselves including wearing masks, maintaining 6 feet distance, handwsshing and most importantly, vaccinations.
